Use Lightrooms Survey Mode

I am a long time Lightroom user but I have only just started to see the benefits of using Lightrooms Survey mode. This tip will help you speed up your final image selection.

Select a group of similar images in the Library Module and press the N key.

Lightrooms Survey Mode

You will get a view which positions all of the selected images on the main screen. Press shift TAB key to clear the side and top panels.
As you hover your cursor over each image you will see a small X in the bottom right hand corner.

Now start eliminating images by clicking the X. As you do the view will resize to give you a larger view. Finally you will be left with just one image which is your pick. Flag it as a pick and your ready to move on to the Develop Module if needed.

A real time saver which also helps you to quickly identify the best candidates in a set of images.
