The Lightroom 1.4.1 update is available again. This fixes the issues with the 1.4 version. Mainly for new camera models but also compatibility with Leopard 10.5 and Epson drivers.

In addition changes to greyscale conversion and camera profile calibration tools.

Adobe has released a Lightroom 2 public beta.

New features include:

• 64 bit support to allow for faster RAW processing as well as access to greater than 4G RAM
• Completely re-vamped and improved Find tools.
• Smart Collections
• Multiple monitor support. Second window with selectable contents.
• New print fucntionality. Custom layouts and multiple sizes
• Localized corrections. Specific areas of the image can corrected or enhanced

I am pleased to say that the latest drivers for the Epson R1800 printer are now available from the US Epson site.
After a very smooth upgrade to Leopard I found there were no drivers. All printing work stopped.

Now it's fixed and they are working fine.

Scott Kelby, editor of Photoshop User Magazine, has pulled together different photographer's reactions to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom v1. He describes the comments as "some good and some not so great".
