Aperture - Different Folder Types
There is an important distinction between the two diferent types of folders that you can create in your Aperture library structure.
There are brown folders which appear within a Project and are for organising albums but have the disadvantage that when you select the brown folder you cannot see any of the images from the albums within the project (see 1 below).
1. Brown Folders - but the three thumbnails in the
abumn canot be seen
A better approach if you want
to be able to see all of the thumbnails from a collection
of projects is to create a folder at the Library
top level. This will create a blue folder (see 2
below) which will allows all of the images from the
projects it contains to be visible.
2. Blue Folder - the thumbnails from the three projects
are all visible
Let me know if
this was of use to you.
